These are the construction elements which connect the insulation element to the construction in exterior wall applications. Coating dowels are made of recycled raw materials or original polyethylene. There are plastic nailed dowels, steel nailed dowels, driven coating dowels and chemical dowels. Plastic nailed dowels are mostly used for the construction elements such as bricks. These are called brick dowels, too. Steel nailed dowels are mostly used for the constructions of autoclaved aerated concrete (commonly called Ytong bricks), etc. Steel dowels are available as flat or with mechanic tabs. The use of steel dowels with mechanic tabs have increased with the use of stone wool. We strongly recommend using steel nailed dowels for stone wool. Dowels vary according to the area of use and their strengths.
