Underfloor heating system constitutes a heating system which prevents heat losses by dissipating the energy (obtained from the heating source through the piping within the ground concrete) under the ground, thus warms up the ground, accordingly the environment. Implementation of this method started after 1980 in our country, and thousands of settlements are heated by this method since then. In this system, heating is provided with hot water at 40 to 50°C. The required energy can be supplied by any solid or liquid combustible matter, sunbeam absorption, heat pump, integrated solar system, etc. Underfloor heating system provides a homogeneous heat dissipation. There is almost no temperature difference among rooms. Heat accumulation on the ceiling which is observed in classic heating systems is out of question for this system. As the heat is stored by the building elements, thermal comfort is not affected much by sudden temperature changes.
Underfloor heating system constitutes a heating system dissipates the energy (obtained from the heating source through the piping within the ground concrete) under the ground, thus warms up the ground, accordingly the environment. In this system, heat is dissipated along the entire flooring, and it provides the most suitable heating for the human health at the most affordable prices by ensuring a homogeneous heat dissipation within the room. While the boiler water temperature needs to reach 70 to 90°C in side-fed radiator systems to provide the suitable room temperature, it is max. 50°C in underfloor heating systems. Temperature of the radiator panels reaches 55 to 60°C in radiator systems; however, the ground temperature is approximately at 28°C in underfloor heating systems for a comfortable heating.
In radiator systems, there are useless warm air areas, whose formation cannot be prevented, nearby ceiling and heater, but these are completely eliminated in underfloor heating systems. This provides an energy saving up to 30%. Additionally, the room can be decorated as desired because there are no heaters such as radiators.
